Art en Vivo is the proud recipient of a $5,000 grant from Caldo Collective for the year 2016.
This grant will allow us to take our body of work from Art En Vivo and place it on a national and international stage.
Art en Vivo is a live screen printing project where artists are invited to turn a piece of their original artwork into an edition of 50 hand-printed posters. Everyone is welcome to submit a piece; absolutely no one is turned down. All that is asked of the artists is that they pay for the paper ($50).
There's food, music, and drinks (BYOB).
Everyone in attendance is encouraged to participate in the poster printing, a process which most people don't ever get the chance to do.
Then if they want, they can buy the poster they helped make.
Prints are sold the night of the show and both profits and left-over prints are divided equally between the artists and Proper Printshop.
Artists are also encouraged to bring their own work to sell at the show and keep 100% of the profits from those sales.
